For your 5.5 x 8.5 postcard, the paper stocks that you can choose for your materials are the 14 pt. Gloss Cover with AQ coating and 14 pt. Matte Cover. The AQ or Aqueous coating will produce a slight shine effect on your tools while the Matte coating will give out a dull finish to your cards.
The standard sizes for postcards are 4.25 x 6, 5 x 7, 5.5 x 8.5, 6 x 9 and 6 x 11. You can also download templates for these sizes at this web site. But you can also have your cards done in custom sizes. The requirement for custom size offset is that the size should be from 4.25 x 5.5 to 18 x 26 with increments of 0.25. For the custom size digital, the size requirement is 4.25 x 5.5 to 11 x 17 with increments of 0.25.
The turnaround time for postcards can be from 1, 2, 4 and 6 business days. This will start once the client approves the free PDF file sent to them and settles all the necessary balances. The turnaround time only refers to the printing time. The transit time, which will depend on the location of the client, is still going to be added to this.
