So if it is 8.5 x 5.5 catalog that you require, for orders 500 and up, offset will be utilized in making the materials. While for orders below that, the materials will be handled by the digital press.
The offset kind is used for large quantity prints because this way, the client can save some bucks. This is advisable when you really need many pieces of the same material, usually 500 and up. Digital Room’s offset presses include the brand new fully automated Komori and Mitsubishi 28” and 40”. Offset has been trusted to come up with consistent colors. But the digital process won’t easily be dismissed because it can give 95% accuracy in terms of color. This is most recommended for small quantity prints at a faster turnaround rate.
The turnaround time for the 8.5 x 5.5 catalog is 4 or 6 Business Days. The client will get a free PDF proof of their file which they have to approve before 12 noon PST and settle all the necessary balances as well. The file will then be sent to be printed. Atop the turnaround time, the transit time is going to be added. This greatly varies depending on what state the client is from.
