Encapsulation Process in Digital Printing

Information About the Encapsulation Process in Digital Printing

The environment, weather, climate and even dust can pose serious threats to printed materials whether they are placed indoors or out of doors. Especially for the ones located outside since they literally face the harshest types of environment that their surroundings have to offer. To protect them, going for coatings, polishing and additional finishing treatment for print materials is definitely a wise move.

The digital printing with encapsulation process is one of the methods wherein commercial printers and manufacturer use an over-molding process over the media that encapsulates it in a thin membranous type of covering. This can be done using the latest equipment made specifically for the said process and high-volume print manufacturing operations since precise applications must be made to avoid possible voids in the protective coating.

As long as the appropriate technology is utilized to maintain a controlled application during the encapsulation process, one that will meet customers needs; diverse printing substrates can be used for this process – steel, glass, metal, paper and cardboard among others where custom or pre-designed graphic artwork can be found.
